Today we see a totally different kind of behaviour in Jesus when he receives news about the death of John. He withdraws to a lonely place, but the crowd won’t accept it and they follow him. There are moments in our lives when Jesus seems to hide from us. He is just nowhere to be found. So there are times when even we feel desperate and hopeless like the crowd to find Jesus. Each of them must have had an experience with Jesus to have that fire within them. Do we have our own unique encounter with Jesus? How meaningful is that for us? Do we too desire to pursue him irrespective of any hardship? Could we be like those people who will just not stop searching for him?
