We see today from the Book of Genesis 18:16-33 the power of intercession. Abraham intercedes on behalf of the people of Sodom. The righteousness of a few saves a whole city. At the heart of Abraham’s drive for intercession is his awareness that ‘The Lord is Compassionate and gracious’ (psalm 103). Our current society is not devoid of conflicts and disputes. As Christians, we are invited in the daily events of life to move away from the sidelines and get involved, no matter how insignificant our efforts may appear. Your intervention in a situation today may save a soul.
